It is a joy for our pastor, wedding coordinator, and Red Carnation Ladies to help make your wedding a wonderful, meaningful, and memorable occasion for you.
Our lovely, historically-recognized church, was built in 1888 in the Carpenter Gothic architectural style. The bright interior, lit by colorful stained-glass windows, and the comfortable Windsor chairs, evoke warmth and history that only 130-plus years can provide. The sanctuary seats 75 guests; dressing and waiting rooms are available.
Our wedding package includes the services of our pastor, music director and a wedding coordinator for planning all aspects of the rehearsal and ceremony, plus the use of facilities.
With room for 75 guests — yet with the intimacy of a small village chapel — couples from all over the world have formalized their vows in romantic wedding ceremonies at this historic, idyllic wine country church in Sonoma Valley.
We believe that you should experience your wedding your way. Your ceremony will be crafted by you and the one you love, with guidance provided by our pastor, with your favorite poetry, readings, and sacraments. Our music director can help you plan and perform the musical component. Both piano and organ are located on-site.
On your wedding day, we will create a ceremony that is meaningful, spiritually appropriate, and elegantly suited to your taste. Our goal is to make your wine country wedding joyful, memorable, and warm — a day to cherish forever and above all uniquely yours!
We welcome weddings of all faith affiliations. For over one hundred years, Kenwood Community Church has been a very special place for people to promise their loyalty and affirm their love for each other. Celebrate your marriage in our chapel, where couples have been uniting since 1888.
If you would like a thoughtful and well-prepared Sonoma Valley wedding ceremony, we cordially invite you to visit the church and see for yourself how its timeless elegance and historic charm can help you create your special day.
Folks still gather each Sunday to worship, sing hymns, hear uplifting sermons, while sitting in the same oak chairs we have had since the beginning, and gather in the garden after church in the shade of an ancient tree.
Reminiscent of a classic New England church, the gracious façade accented by a stately steeple, bell tower, and hand-carved oak doors welcome you and your guests and family to share a joyous, communal occasion never to be forgotten.
Notable features of the church are the antique stained glass windows, which flood the sanctuary with light and color both day and night, the vintage Windsor chairs that await your guests, and the classic simplicity of the chancel with its unadorned, white wooden cross above the hand-carved refectory table ready to hold graceful bouquets of fresh flowers.
The church is located in a quiet, residential area and faces a beautifully landscaped park. A lush, green garden shaded by the spreading arms of a century-old black walnut tree is a gorgeous setting for photographs of the wedding party.
