“…remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)
Giving in anything is more a matter of how you give rather than what you give. The “what you give” is an amount that will help further the work of this church in ministering to its community. The “how you give” is a more personal matter; it defines what type of person you are and what type of person you want to be. Anyone who gives freely, generously, without compunction can tell you that the inner rewards, those spiritual effects, far outweigh the purely financial ones.
